Colour added! Very pleased with how they’ve come out. Putting them on a notebook, maybe an art print?
Working on the vegetable collection, I can’t tell you how enjoyable these are to draw! I do enjoy being sketchy sometimes. Now they’ve been scanned its time to add colour and bring them to life 🙂
I was just going through last years design folders and i came across these! I had completely forgotten about them! I wanted to add more veg and create a print but ended up being too busy. They started of as simple scribbly had drawn illustrations that didn’t really jump but once I got the on the computer and started adding colour and texture I was so pleased. Definitely going to pick up where I left off with this one.
I’ve entered the spring Wraptioud competition! Each of the cushions are available to buy here until the 28th May, or just follow the link to give them a like and help me get to the final!
Reworking the bee design, adding a lot more bees to the collection this year. Reminds me I need to sort out our little bug hotel in the garden!
Drew this little one today, a mix of rabbit and hare. It’s a gift for a new baby and hares have a kind of creepy look in their eyes that I thought needed softening a bit. Rabbits can be a little too cutesy sometimes. I don’t do cutesy!
I’ve treated myself to a load of new books full of amazing insects, beetles, butterflies and a million other things I want to draw! Since I’ve started using coloured pencils I’ve stuck mostly with earthy tones so thought I would push myself a bit more when I came across this exotic looking wasp.
